Community Services donates quilts to community and world-wide organizations. Some use our quilts as auction items, and some use them for their clients. Those organizations receiving auction quilts are: Children’s Nurturing Project, Heather House, Opportunity House, Safe Quest Solano, Peace Jam Solano, Child Haven, and Women in Action. Our baby and children’s quilts go to Children’s Nurturing Project, Heather House, Alpha Pregnancy Center, Safequest Solano, and Rotary for Rotaplast which sends quilts to kids in Central and South America and Southeast Asia needing cleft palate surgery. Lap quilts are donated to the McBride Senior Center for Christmas giving. Adult quilts are donated to Heather House, and 50”x60”patriotic quilts are donated to Quilts of Valor which is for wounded and returning military. Our guild made and sent over 70 quilts to victims of the earthquakes and tsunami in Japan.

Community Service meets on the 5th Tuesday of a month from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Fairfield Senior Center. Check the current month's newsletter to see if you need to bring special supplies. All are welcome to help work on quilts for our charities. Bring a lunch.
