Members of the North Wind Quilt Guild host a variety of events throughout the year. Whether it is a small group, specialty group or even a social event. There is a place for you to meet new people and learn new techniques. Please come by and visit our Guild, we love to see new faces and share ideas.
We have an exciting new activity starting soon- Beginning Hand Appliqué. This activity will be led by Diane Salera. It will be starting the 2nd Tuesday in March which is March 8, 2016. Diane will be teaching beginning hand appliquérs different methods of hand appliqué. Members will start out learning with a freezer paper method. The class will be from 10:30 am to approximately 2:00 pm. This will be a keep your own project featuring applique'. Please remember to bring your own fabric and supplies. Diane will be giving out more information at the February General Meeting. This will be an ongoing Activity Group for as long as there is an interest.
Another new activity that has just begun is a Machine Embroidery group. This activity will be led by Lois Silva. It will be held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month also starting in March. The first meeting will be on March 15th . The group will be meeting from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. You are welcome to come and stay as long as you would like. Bring your embroidery machine and all your equipment and work on your own project at your own pace. Lois Silva will be around during this time to help you out with any problems you may have. This will be an ongoing Activity Group for as long as there is an interest.
We also have an ongoing project that makes Pet Beds for dogs and cats at the local animal shelter. For more information about this project please contact Meta Bonnell.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page to view a small group of "keep your own blocks" featuring teapot themes. The group ended their time with a tea party at Linde Lane Tea House in Dixon, CA.
